Your table. Your people. Your Shabbat Together in Canada's Capital
Shabbat Together 613 Powered by the Jewish Federation of Ottawa reflects the beautiful intersection of place and purpose: rooted in Ottawa, inspired by tradition. Shabbat is our most enduring framework for connection. 613 is Ottawa’s area code and the number of the mitzvot (sacred commandments) in the Torah.
Among those mitzvot, the Shabbat Seudah (Feast) is a prized treasure of our heritage. Every week, we join to take respite from our busy-ness. We invite you to create new experiences of Shabbat around our community’s festive tables.
Shabbat Together 613 draws on recent initiatives such as One Table and The Shabbat Project and on the beautiful Shabbat meals that have been hosted for generations in our city – by synagogues, families, individuals, and a multitude of groups. Together, we aim to create more touchpoints for our community and friends to connect and create Shabbat experiences in homes across the city. Whether you’re new to Canada’s Capital Region, exploring to Jewish life, or simply looking for community, you can find your Shabbat.
Choose your path: join a Shabbat Together as a participant or create your own at home. Either way, you’re helping build a network of belonging and Jewish life in Ottawa — one Shabbat Together at a time.
